SPOKEN NERD is one part rapper, one part producer and one part author on 24 Carrot Dreams as he hashes out another concept album packed full of realism and satire. 24 Carrot Dreams is a combination of experimental gritty hip hop with a healthy dose of piano driven pop melodies. The album is produced entirely by Rick Saxby and Spoken Nerd. 24 Carrot Dreams includes features from Listener (Deepspace 5), Swordplay, Jeremiah Bonds, MC HOMELESS, PT Burnem, Bobby EXODUS and NATHAN K. This album is not just another hip hop album. Spoken Nerd tackles a multitude of issues within the Political and Social realm while keeping a sense of humility and a whimsical posture rather that of the ego driven maniac which is so ever present in our music today. 24 Carrot Dreams is about a Farmer who goes to war with a rabbit for eating all of his carrots. When the Farmer decides to set some humane traps to save his garden the rascally rabbit goes to the press with propaganda cartoons slandering the farmer. Spoken Nerd illustrates this ridiculous narrative with a collection of songs diverging from clever to simple, from heavy to light hearted, from angry to humorous and from apathy to excitement.
